To begin, start at your Facebook homepage before creating a business page.
Once you click on “Manage Pages,” it will redirect you to a new window. Click on the option to “Create a Page.”
Facebook will ask you to choose between the following two options. To create a business page, click on “Business or Brand.”
In the next step, Facebook will ask about your business name and category.
Next, provide the physical address of your business and contact number. This is important because people will be able to locate you with this information.
Hold tight! Your page is almost there.
It’s time to add a profile picture and cover photo. It’s ideal to add your business logo as the profile picture. Add yours now. Facebook profile pictures are round in shape, so resize your logo accordingly.
Facebook now allows videos to be used for cover photos. So, enjoy your creative freedom to design an interesting and compelling cover photo for your Facebook business page.
Now it’s time to select a Facebook page username. This is one of the most important parts of a Facebook business page because this is what appears in the search results.
Find the option to choose your username under your profile picture. Choose this user name carefully because it will also be used as the business page URL.
If your desired username is already taken, you will need to choose a different one. When it’s typed in, Facebook will let you know if it's available with a green tick.
Save your settings, and that’s it. Your Facebook business page is created.
Optimizing a new or existing Facebook business page is essential to making it visible and searchable to your audience.
Begin in “Settings” and click on "Page Info." Add a short description of your business first.
Then, add the phone number and website URL of your business. Make sure the number is active because this is the primary way consumers will contact you.
Edit your business hours to let people know when you are open.
Let’s check a few important Facebook page settings.
First, let’s talk about the Impressum. Impressum is a fancy word for a “Statement of Ownership” or “Legal Disclosure” that is required in some countries. Check if your country is one of them.
Add the company overview in “Details.”

Help your audience understand how to reach your store or office.
You can also find all the aforementioned settings and edit your page from the “About” section.
Adding a CTA button to your page is important to help your audience get in touch with you quickly. This button appears directly below the page’s cover photo, so it’s easily noticed whenever a person lands on the page.
Facebook offers different types of CTA buttons. Choose what suits your business best. “Book Now” is ideal for any service-oriented business. Since we are showing a salon as an example, we will create a “Book Now” CTA button.
You can book appointments directly on Facebook or link it back to your website.
Once you’ve set up the CTA button, you are ready to take appointments. However, to take an appointment, you also need to list your services.
Once a person books a timeslot, enable the “Reminders” option to remind him/her about the appointment.
There is also an option to send follow-up messages. This is to remind your customers to book an appointment with you again.
You can also use this feature to market current deals and special offers to previous customers.
Facebook links new appointments to your Google Calendar directly, so you can check them easily.
Appointments can be found in your inbox and the “Appointments” tab.
You can edit or change the CTA button any time you want. It’s important to try different CTA buttons to discover what evokes the best response from your audience.
Your audience is able to contact you via Facebook messages, so be sure touse it to its utmost potential.
Go to “Settings” and click on “Messaging.”

General Settings: To encourage consumers to initiate chats with you, enable the following two options. Help them start the conversation with suggested questions.
Response Assistant: There is no alternative to personalized conversations with your audience, however, the page also has a “Response Rate” which needs to be taken into consideration.
Enable the auto-respond option with a message that sends a response to your consumer’s query immediately, even when you are not online.
There is also an option to add a personal touch to these automated messages. Choose your preferred option of personalization and Facebook will take care of the rest.
The “Add Personalization” option is available for all messaging settings.
Appointment Messaging: Keep the option “On” to send reminder messages to your customers. We have shown this example in the previous section.
